Peruvian Family"Trek Aid Peru" offers unique 1-3 day ecotreks in the Peruvian Andes, providing an unmissable cultural experience and an unforgettable adventure.

You will meet and help to deliver essential supplies to some of Peru's indigneous farming and weaving families who live in isolated high mountain settlements above Huilloc, 19km beyond Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley of the Incas near to Machu Picchu.

Wither

Wither Avellaneda is a 24 year old local married man with a four year old son. He is passionately committed to his aid project called High Mountain Aid Peru - www.highmountainaidperu.com - which bring basic winter supplies on horseback to around fifty indigenous families in the area.

Trekking brings Wither a year-round job and brings the local people much-needed extras that make their lives a little easier in the hard Winter.

The Trek

These treks can be anything between 1 and 3 days duration and are suitable for fit people of all ages.

Discuss your needs with Wither and choose a strenuous, moderate or easy hike to suit your preferences. Your trek can also include a guided visit to Machu Picchu.

Tents are provided. Some basic Spanish is essential.
